Tree condition reasonable but was deteriorating, possibly from soil compaction from vehicles stopping underneath. Bundaberg Regional Council has constructed a small exclusion area. Condition has improved and stabilized. There is a concrete table and bench under the tree. There is unconfirmed information that this tree is called the “Tree of Knowledge” and that years ago when people travelled into Bundaberg for dances, they used to stop at this tree and change into their good clothes. |
